Guide Containing All Treasure Map Riddle of Ranald Locations for Vampire Coast Missions
This does what it says on the tin. Primarily for Vortex Campaign, there seemed to be only piecemeal information on the web so I thought i'd create a guide as I went along. Most have screenshots although I didn't intend to screenshot every location and there are a bunch of these, they seem to cap at six quests active at any one time. They are in no particular order but this should be a complete list.

General Non-Spoiler Hints:
- The Riddles are obtained throughout the Vampire Coast campaign, I did them on Harkon, some you receive automatically, others you obtain by defeating the certain rogue pirate fleets who have a Piece of Eight (see your in game pieces of eight tab for pirate locations) or even exploring random ocean pickups or winning battles.
- To dig for treasure walk any lord to the presumed treasure location and use the stance 'dig for treasure', you can do this even if you have zero movement left (but not in forced march stance). If you are within 2-3 spaces (it is a little forgiving, but not much) of the treasure location the mission will be completed and you will receive the treasure: usually average amount of gold 2500-5000+ average quality (blue) or lower item (green). Yes the rewards aren't too great in honesty and imo could use a buff.
- The riddles are generally a play on words, grab a thesaurus and substitute a key word for another and it should give you a region name / city name / landmark object on the map
- Click the 'zoom to' icon on the quest, it will point you in the rough location and is pretty accurate
- A few of these treasure locations CAN MOVE AROUND THE MAP (!!) and there is a slim chance the next appearance may be in a completely different location. I've noted the ones that move and in the rare event the hint circle question mark indicates a very different area of the warhammer world then ignore my screenshot, but my clue can still be helpful understanding the riddle or finding the unique feature indicated.
1. Riddle of the Map Maker
"Sleep is not required, for in the north there is something harsh amidst the treasure of the marsh"
Easier one to reach although I found it by accident (I originally went a lot further north). Immediately north of your Harkon starting location, Harsh = Pox. Pick up your shovel and dig by Pox Marsh settlement.

2. Riddle of the Beast
"Walk in the steps of the scavengers roost, that stands within the snakes trail."
Direct word substitution. Snakes Trail = Cobra Pass. Scavengers Roost could also be Vulture Mountain, but ignore this and follow the territory right down to near the tip where you will see a Sphinx (beast statue) on top of the mountain. There are lots of steps leading up, dig right at the base.

"While the flora of the world is exquisite in its danger and beauty, it has always been the fauna that poses the greatest threat"
Fauna = Animals. My zoom to icon actually pointed me directly at these two stegosaurus creatures in the jundles far to the south of araby. Dig on them to reveal the prize.

4. Riddle of Vaul
"The raging twins roar and spit. Embrace their rage, ignore their anger, and step between the fury to find the reward you seek."
Two volcanoes in the western mountain range of Lustria. Dig directly inbetween the two huge volcanoes. This one seemed really forgiving I dug on the path a way off as I had ran out of movement and found it first try

5. Riddle of Ranald (far south east - but this can move!)
"Do not look upon sorrowful gods, for where Isha's tears fall and swell, the secret you seek shall reside."
This one seemed tough to me as Isha's tears I understood in Warhammer lore refers to crystals and there are a bunch of blue ones in the same region. However, they actually mean rain (Isha is the goddess of fertility), falling and swelling into a lake. Dig at the lake between Statue of the Gods and Nahuontl. Ps. I've had this riddle also appear in the dark elf lands, second screenshot attached

6. Riddle of Ranald (far south east - can move!)
"It is not X that marks the spot, but the scrawls etched by ancients long thought lost."
Use the zoom locator and spot the ring of stones with markings in the centre. Dig here. One of the more obvious but only 2000 gold! It's a long way to go... ps. I've had this appear in southern Lustria also so this can move, use the location and dig in the nearest ring of stones, example attached
7. Riddle of Ranald (north west)
"The world is blighted with those monuments to fear - the sightless eyes and leering grin conceal the riches held within."
Huge volcano with two skulls (I guess pretty sightless and leering) halfway up on the southern flank. Dig in the larva pool at the base of the volcano in the southern pass. I've screenshotted it for clarity.

8. Riddle of Ranald (various locations)
"The Dragon stirs, awaking with fury, but forever trapped in the ash of his own making."
I found this at the identical location to the last riddle "The world is blighted...", see 7 above. However, this has also appeared far south west. Again, dig in the larva pools at the foot of the volcano.
9. Riddle of Ranald (far north west)
"Not all wonders are created by the gods themselves. Some are mortal creations, wherein lies what you seek."
Straightforwardly huge landmark right next to the settlement 'Altar of Ultimate Darkness'. Massive evil altar/portal looking building slightly to the northwest of the settlement, I started digging right at the entrance between the two spikes. If you have played the dark elf campaign you will recognise it from one of the scripted battles.
10. Riddle of Ranald (Ulthuan, North East)
"This mouth may lack tongue and lips, yet it shall never close, for it has a thirst that can rarely be quenched."
Dig at the end/mouth of the river southwest of Tor Anlec where it reaches the northern coast of Ulthuan.
11. Riddle of Ranald (Skraeling, North East)
"It rises from Manann's firmament, like a tooth unfettered from a yearning maw. But this fang's crown may be worth more than mere gold..."
Manann is the warhammer god of the sea and tides, so my interpretation is this island shaped like a tooth rises from the sea bed. The crown refers to the area at the southern tip which is high on the clifftops. Dig there.
12. Riddle of Usirian (east)
"At the mouth of the forgotten Vitae River, under the shrine of Amenemhetum's sentinel, the water fogs with blood."
The river is indeed pretty murky and red stained that runs through the land of the dead. Rather odd since undead have no blood, possibly all the slaves? Dig in the delta where the river hits the sea, the furthest point of land in the middle of the delta.

Eventually, Lord Harkon will present you with the opportunity to become a vampire. If you accept the offer, Harkon will bite you, which causes you to pass out. If you refuse the offer to become a vampire, you will be banished from Castle Volkihar and won't be able to enter back inside.
Yes, it is possible to become a Vampire Lord after having completed the quest "Chasing Echoes". Serana offers it to you once during that quest, and again after the quest "Kindred Judgement".
