Best hotels near Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, Reedsport

0.65km from downtown
We have stayed here in the past and had a much better experience. This year the room rates had increased dramatically. Unfortunately, the experience decreased dramatically. The office was under construction which led to some initial confusion as to where to check in. It wasn’t well posted. The check-in process was quick, but with no mention of our Best Western Rewards status. Other BW’s offer us bottled water at check-in. The tub wouldn’t hold water. The air conditioner was marginal so the room temperature was difficult to regulate. The bath fan was extremely noisy, I couldn’t stand to have it on. The toilet seat was also loose. The stairs need to have yellow stripes on the bottom treads of each landing, this was missing. This is definitely a safety issue. In light of what you get for the now inflated room rates, we will be looking at other options in the future.

I cant say enough great things about my experience at the Anchor Bay. I'm a traveling medical tech and I work all around the country. I was made to feel so welcome by the staff. I was there for months during my last contract and my room was always clean and taken care of. As a medical professional, I know how to clean an sanitize my environment to ensure that its safe especially during the time of a pandemic. I was very impressed by Ms. T.J. and how she did a fantastic job keeping myself and others safe. She took this very seriously and you will not meet a kinder person!! T.J.... YOU ROCK!! Safety was very important but beyond that, I was made to feel like a part of the family. One day I may be back in Oregon and if so, I will head straight to the Anchor Bay to see my freinds! Thank you to T.J., Ash, and Mamma Kelly for taking such great care of me!!!
